The one and done dress for Spring
A few weeks ago, I saw an ad for a “one and done” dress for Spring and I was horrified at what I saw. It was the ugliest dress I have ever seen. Though I don’t have a picture of what it looked like (I would never want that on my phone), allow me to describe it to you: a long t-shirt with no shape and couldn’t possibly look good on anyone. Now do you believe me that it is the worst thing ever created? For it to be advertised as the “one and done” dress for Spring should be a crime.
When I think of “one and done,” the dress must be the perfect dress. It cannot be a long t-shirt. I want all women to be looking and feeling their absolute best this Spring. So, let me give you other options for your “one and done” dress.
Flossy by Freddy
The Audrey Dress
I will start with my favorite dress ever that I actually wear all year round, the Audrey dress from Flossy by Freddy. It is the most gorgeous pink dress ever. One giant benefit of this dress (and the reason I can wear it all year round), is that it is very easy to layer a long sleeve shirt underneath or layer a cute sweater/jacket on top of it.
When you need extra layers, the dress looks incredibly chic with knee high socks! If you like pink as much as I do, this dress is the perfect dress, and it is very affordable.
The Jackie Dress
The Jackie dress is another perfect Spring dress from Flossy by Freddy. This one is already long sleeved, so we don’t even need to add any extra layers for warmth, it’s the prefect dress, just as it is! This dress would be perfect for my neutral loving girls. This dress is the perfect modern take on a vintage style, and it really is perfect for any casual occasion. A solo date, brunch with friends, discovering a new city ~ there are endless occasions!
OddMuse
I could sit here and list all the perfect Spring dresses from OddMuse but then this issue would be very long because OddMuse has so many perfect options for the one and done Spring dress. The thing I love most about OddMuse is their incredible silhouettes and sinched in waistlines. They make every woman look AMAZING. Though I won’t mention all the perfect Spring dresses from OddMuse, I will list my favorite dresses from the brand:
The Ultimate Muse Structured Mini Dress
This is one of my favorite dresses I own. The way I look in this dress is like magic and it’s all because of the way the dress is structured. This brand really does God’s work.
Anyways, I love to wear a cropped sweater/cardigan on top of the dress because it keeps the beautiful silhouette the dress has, adds warmth, and it looks cute. What more can you want?
The Ultimate Muse Bow Mini Dress
I do not own this dress, but I wish I did. This is a perfect off-the-shoulder dress. It has a beautiful and princessy neckline that looks like a bow, and I’ve never seen a dress like this before. It is also long sleeved, so it adds warmth. How perfect!
Reformation
Reformation also has many dress options that would be great for Spring. One of my favorites is the Everett Linen Dress.
Everett Linen Dress
Linen is one of my favorite fabrics for wearing in Spring and going into Summer. It is perfect for those warmer days because it is lightweight and breathable. Additionally, this dress comes in many other prints and colors, so you can choose the one that you like and fits your style the most! And…it has pockets!!
I realize these are all $100 and above, however, this is the Spring “one and done” dress meaning, you will likely be wearing the dress all Spring long and into Summer, so you are getting your money’s worth. All of these brands and dresses are very good quality, so if you take care of your dress, you can wear it for years as well.
So, now that we know all these dresses are perfect for Spring, there is no need for the hideodious long t-shirt dress that someone thought it was okay to name as the Spring “one and done” dress.
What kind of dress do you like for Spring? My favorite dresses are short dresses I can wear a sweater with or are long sleeved because it keeps my arms warm, but I can still feel the beautiful Spring breeze on my legs.
